Non-Profit Spotlight: Telluride Adaptive Sports Program

We believe that everybody deserves a chance to experience the outdoors through recreation. The Telluride Adaptive Sports Program, also known as TASP, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing top quality therapeutic recreation to individuals with disabilities in order to promote independence and personal growth.

Today is their 25th Anniversary! That's right, 25 years of providing a space for students with physical, emotional and developmental disabilities to feel welcome, hone in on their skills and cultivate skills in a sport they know and love.

This year, we want to extend our support for this organization we have come to love dearly by donating 10% of our sales today, Thursday, March 25, to the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program.

The program hosts participants of all ages and skill levels in a multi-season approach. Their mission of empowerment and challenge through adaptive ski school, off-road hand-cycling, rock climbing, and more enable their athletes to experience the activities that serve as the cornerstone for many mountain communities.

By engaging their athletes, who travel from all over the Western Slope, they hope to inspire independence, confidence and, maybe above all, fun.

TASP proudly provides access to professionally trained instructors as well as scholarship opportunities to those in financial need and supports local communities by providing regional-specific programming and opportunities.  As a further commitment to the community and their mission of inspiring, TASP conducts disability awareness trainings for local school-aged youth in order to promote awareness and educate the next generation about the limitless potentials of adaptive recreation.

Your donation directly to TASP will go to support continued programming and opportunities for disabled athletes in the region. So what are you waiting for? Help bring outdoor recreation to all.
